Dawn Raid in Farwaniya Targets Residency Violators and Wanted Individuals

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: Based on the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Traffic and Operations Sector carried out a comprehensive security and traffic campaign in the Farwaniya area at dawn on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The campaign led to the arrest and referral of numerous individuals for various violations. Authorities detained 21 individuals found to be residing in the country with expired residency permits. Additionally, 11 individuals were apprehended for absconding from sponsors, and 8 others were wanted for arrest.

The operation also resulted in the detention of 2 individuals without official identification and the transfer of 3 juveniles to the Juvenile Prosecution. One vehicle and one motorcycle sought by the judiciary were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

Furthermore, 4 individuals were found in an abnormal condition and referred to the appropriate authorities for further action. In total, 496 traffic violations of various kinds were recorded during the campaign.

Security officials affirmed that such campaigns will continue to ensure public safety, uphold the rule of law, and maintain traffic discipline across all governorates.
