KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The General Authority for Roads and Land Transportation, in coordination with the General Traffic Department, has announced the opening of Damascus Street from the Fifth Ring Road towards the South Surra area, extending up to Ibrahim Al-Muzain Street in the Al-Zahraa area.

This opening includes the full operation of both intersections on Damascus Street with Abdullah Al-Humaidi Street and Ali Al-Asousi Street. The new traffic arrangement will allow movement from the Fifth Ring Road (for motorists coming from Salmiya) onto Damascus Street, as well as from Damascus Street back to the Fifth Ring Road in the direction of Salmiya. Additionally, the Surra exit opposite the Fifth Ring Road leading to Damascus Street toward South Surra will also be open to traffic.

The opening will take effect on Sunday at midnight (12:00 a.m.), corresponding to the early hours of Monday, October 20, 2025.
