KUWAIT CITY, May 16: According to sources familiar with the matter, the Civil Service Commission's recent announcement regarding training plans for current employees and initiatives to rehabilitate recent graduates is aimed at addressing the specialized needs of the labor market.

Highlighting the importance of training programs, an official emphasized that equipping young individuals with relevant skills and experience is vital for their successful integration into the evolving job market. Such initiatives not only increase the likelihood of securing stable employment but also enhance competitiveness and facilitate long-term career growth.

Referring to legal provisions, it was noted that Article 10 of Law No. 15 of 1979 mandates the establishment of a comprehensive training system by the Civil Service Council, with provisions for evaluating trainee performance and ensuring coordination among relevant bodies. Regular training is deemed a fundamental obligation for employees.

Temporary replacements may be appointed for employees on such leaves, missions, or training courses lasting at least one year and without compensation, as deemed necessary.
