Court orders company to pay worker indemnity

KUWAIT CITY, May 25: The Labor Court has ordered a commercial company to pay indemnity of KD 38,000 to an employee (head of section) which includes his annual leave compensation and allowance. Representing the employee was Lawyer Ena’am Haydar who explained that her client decided to file a lawsuit against his company after they reached an impasse during a friendly attempt for the settlement of his deserving dues.

He was terminated without any justification, and the company failed to fulfill its obligations in this aspect. The court appointed an expert to determine the veracity of the claims made by the plaintiff regarding his labor rights, and the court concluded that he deserves full indemnity and leave compensation which amounts to KD 38,000.
