KUWAIT CITY, May 27: The Court of Cassation has upheld a fine of 2,000 dinars imposed on Hamid Buyabes for insulting the Saudi Minister of Interior. However, the court acquitted Buyabes of charges related to “hostile actions” against Saudi Arabia. The Public Prosecution had accused Buyabes of engaging in hostile actions against Saudi Arabia through his posts on the “X” platform, specifically by insulting the Saudi Minister of Interior, humiliating customs employees, and intentionally misusing telephone communication. Buyabes denied these accusations, maintaining his appreciation and respect for the Saudi leadership and people.
