Coronavirus infection rises to 527

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Kuwait’s daily coronavirus infections had risen by 527 over the past 24 hours to a cumulative total of 154,841, with 2 fatalities reported the death rose to 945.

Some 4,523 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, 50 of whom are in intensive care units, according to health ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 10,087 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,337,514 so far.

The ministry had earlier reported 366 fresh recoveries to up the total of those to have overcome the disease to 149,373, added the spokesman, urging nationals and expatriates alike to abide by health precautions, chiefly, social distancing rules, to halt the spread of the virus. (KUNA)
