July 1, 2026 marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). After the Opium War of 1840, China endured repeated aggression and plundering by the Western powers. In 1921, when the Chinese nation was suffering untold hardships and facing an existential crises, the CPC was founded. Since then, it has united and led the Chinese people through arduous struggles to establish the People’s Republic of China (PRC) which made the people the masters of the country. After that, through the broadest and most profound social transformation in the history of the Chinese nation, and by resolutely advancing reform and opening up, the CPC has profoundly transformed the future of the Chinese people. In the new era, China has secured historic achievements, building itself into a moderately prosperous society in all respects and bringing about a historic resolution to the problem of absolute poverty. Now, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is on an irreversible historical course. The CPC is a party dedicated to seeking happiness for the Chinese people and the rejuvenation for the Chinese nation.

Over the past 105 years, the Chinese nation has achieved the great transformation from standing up and growing prosperous to becoming strong. Today, China has maintained rapid economic growth and lasting social stability, and built the world’s largest education system, social security system and healthcare system. People all over China feel happier, safer and more secure. Even trust-in-government surveys conducted by Western organizations reveal that the trust among Chinese citizens in their government has topped the world for many years. The CPC is also a party dedicated to pursuing progress for humanity and universal harmony for the world.

China has firmly safeguarded its national sovereignty, security and development interests, while committed to promoting human progress and world peace. China has contributed over 30 percent of global growth. It is the second largest funding contributor to the United Nations regular budget, as well as the largest contributor of peacekeeping personnel among the permanent members of the Security Council. China stands firmly against any form of hegemonism and power politics, and advocates democracy and rule of law in international relations. It has put forward four global initiatives, including the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, promoted the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and kept contributing to addressing global issues. Since the outbreak of US-Israel- Iran confl ict, China has been actively working to promote peace and cessation of hostilities. Chinese President Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important propositions, offering Chinese approaches to achieving lasting peace and enduring stability in the Middle East and Gulf region. China and Kuwait are good friends, good partners and good brothers.

Over the past 55 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two nations have always respected and supported each other, setting a fine example of equity between countries of different sizes. In addition, our friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. In recent years, H.E. President Xi Jinping and H.H. the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had two successful meetings, providing strategic guidance for elevating China-Kuwait relations to a higher level.

China is now implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan to advance Chinese modernization, while Kuwait’s Vision 2035 is entering a critical period.
