KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: Even though the COVID- 19 pandemic deprived students of the chance to attend their schools, it saved them from having to carry heavy backpacks, reports Al-Qabas daily. It seems their return to school coincided with the end of their suffering from the weight of the school bag, thanks to the innovation of Abdul Mohsen Al- Momen, a multi-purpose bag with a cushion.

During an interview, Al-Momen explained that his innovation, which has three American patent certificates and is registered in Gulf and European countries, aims to relieve back pain. It features a flexible foam cushion attached to the back of the bag, which can be opened and closed easily. The bag provides a feeling of comfort for its users especially when they sit on wooden or plastic chairs. It also protects the body from the heat and cold of the seats and floors when sitting.

The cushion can also be used as an umbrella to protect from the sun and rain. The bag is equipped with six wheels that makes it easy to transport it on the stairs. Al-Momen thanked the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) for its support.
