LONDON, Oct 27: Actress Sophie Turner and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin are reportedly moving on from their previous relationships after being spotted on a private date.

Turner became single after her divorce from musician Joe Jonas was finalized in September 2023, while Martin ended his engagement to actress Dakota Johnson in June 2025.

The actress reportedly went on the date shortly after concluding her romance with aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson. Turner and Pearson finalized their separation last week after multiple breakups and reconciliations. Sources said tensions came to a head during a high-society wedding where they were seen arguing on the dance floor. Turner reportedly did not delay in entering the dating scene again, meeting Martin the following week. Pearson was also seen moving on, socializing publicly with a new companion in London.

Martin spent much of the summer in London performing at Wembley Stadium as part of Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour. Turner, meanwhile, reportedly joined the dating app Raya in August, uploading nine photos and listing her hobbies as music, movies, pasta, sunbathing, and spending time with family and friends. She moved back to England last year following her divorce from Jonas and began dating Pearson shortly after.

Reflecting on his split from Johnson, Martin reportedly understood that their demanding work schedules and personal priorities could not align. “Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay, and they both have personal priorities, passions, and work commitments which don’t naturally intertwine with each other,” a source said. Martin and Johnson had previously ended a relationship in 2019 due to differing views on having children.

Turner, a mother of two, has emphasized that she does not intend for her daughters to enter the entertainment industry at a young age. She told media outlets in August that she wants children to maintain a sense of normalcy and avoid early exposure to social media. “It's so important to have that grounding adjacent to the big, crazy stuff that you do,” Turner said, adding that her daughters may consider acting professionally only when they are “at least 25.”

Turner also spoke candidly about the mental health challenges she faced during her early acting career on HBO’s Game of Thrones. She described dealing with intense public scrutiny and social media criticism, which contributed to periods of depression, anxiety, and an eating disorder. Turner credited therapy with helping her recover and manage the pressures of fame.

The actress, who earned acclaim for her role as Sansa Stark, received an Emmy nomination and multiple Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, solidifying her status as a leading figure in Hollywood.
