LOS ANGELES, Oct 28, (Agencies): New allegations have surfaced against Cher, with her son's estranged wife, MarieAngela King, claiming that the renowned "Believe" singer is concealing her son's whereabouts and preventing access to him. Court documents have recently come to light, in which King is seeking a court order to compel Elijah Blue Allman to attend the next divorce hearing, as he missed the trial conference held on Friday, intended to provide updates on their ongoing divorce case. King asserts that she has not seen Allman for over six months and points the finger at the 77-year-old Cher, accusing her of ongoing interference in her son's health management, location, and accessibility.
According to these court documents, which were filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court as part of the prolonged divorce proceedings that have dragged on for nearly a year, King and Allman had agreed on April 21 to a six-month delay in their divorce case, allowing them to work on their marriage. However, shortly after this agreement, Allman "disappeared, and I have not seen him in person since the end of April 2023, which was exactly six months ago," as stated in the court papers.
King is now seeking to enforce payment of $40,000 in overdue spousal support from Allman and recover her car, along with the personal items and documents within it. She also requests the court's assistance in retrieving possessions stored in a unit, including artwork attributed to Michael Jackson. King alleges that Cher has these items at her residence in Malibu but is unwilling to surrender them. The estranged couple's next divorce hearing is scheduled for Feb 8, 2024.
This development marks the latest chapter in the ongoing divorce dispute between King and Allman. Back in September, Cher made headlines when King accused her of hiring four individuals to abduct her son from a New York hotel room, in an attempt to prevent him from reconciling with her. While these documents were filed on Dec 5, they only recently gained public attention after being discovered by the media.
