KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: On August 29, the ‘Chengdu Gifts’ Cultural and Creative Exhibition in Kuwait 2025 will open at the China Cultural Center in Kuwait. Jointly organized by the China Cultural Center in Kuwait and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcast- TV and Tourism, the exhibition will offer Kuwait audiences a unique opportunity to experience the charm of Tianfu culture up close.

The exhibition features 30 sets of carefully curated cultural and creative works from Chengdu, covering a wide spectrum of themes that blend artistry with functionality. From tea sets, jewelry, scarves, and dolls to interactive installations, the collection vividly reflects Chengdu’s innovative approach of combining cultural symbols with consumer experiences. Highlights of the exhibition include the sparkling “Zhuge Liang’s Feather Fan and Silk Scarf Cup and Saucer Set,” which reinterprets the wisdom of the Three Kingdoms heritage with gilded crystal craftsmanship; the playful “Sichuan Opera Panda, "which merges the image of China’s national treasure with the artistry of Sichuan opera; the “Mysterious Ancient Shu Two-ear Mask Cup,” which incorporates elements from relics of the Jinsha archaeological site into modern design; and the “Jiaozi 1000” Commemorative Gift Box, inspired by the world’s earliest paper currency, symbolizing Chengdu’s thousand year spirit of innovation.

Each exhibit shines through the creative integration of China’s intangible cultural heritage with contemporary design, radiating the distinctive appeal of Tianfu culture. The “Chengdu Gifts” Cultural and Creative Exhibition in Kuwait will run until October 17, 2025. Chengdu’s unique cultural creations will be a bridge to showcase the profound heritage of Tianfu culture and the dynamic creativity of contemporary Chengdu to audiences in Kuwait.
