KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19:  The Ministry of Interior issued a statement on Thursday outlining the steps for those interested in changing the color of their vehicles. This procedure aims to maintain compliance with international standards and ensure the proper documentation of color changes.

According to the ministry, individuals wishing to modify their car’s color must adhere to the following steps:

  1. Initial Approval: To kickstart the process, visit the International Standards Section of the Technical Inspection Department. Here, you can obtain initial approval for your desired color change. Additionally, you will be required to sign a pledge, confirming your commitment to the new color.
  2. Color Change Process: After receiving the initial approval, proceed to authorized workshops that are equipped to perform the color change. This step ensures that the color modification is carried out professionally and according to the specified standards.
  3. Final Approval: Once the color change process is complete, return to the International Standards Section of the Technical Inspection Department. Here, your vehicle’s new color will be inspected and approved, and the updated car registration will be issued accordingly.

The ministry emphasized that it is essential for workshops and garages to refrain from changing the color of vehicles without prior permission from the Traffic Department. Violators of this rule may face fines of up to 500 KD imposed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
