The initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Badr Al-Adwani, Assistant Undersecretary for the Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector, has the approval of Amthal Al-Huwaila, the Minister of Social Affairs, and other ministry leaders. The initial phase of the project is budgeted at 300 thousand Kuwaiti dinars and is expected to span one year.
During this period, comprehensive data collection will be conducted, necessary permits will be secured from relevant governmental bodies, and initial infrastructure designs will be finalized. Subsequent phases will encompass the structural design and construction of new facilities. Regarding the current residents of the Social Care Homes, including juveniles, family foster children, and the elderly, discussions are ongoing regarding the provision of temporary alternative accommodations during the renovation period.
