KUWAIT CITY, May 5: The Capital Governorate Committee at the Municipal Council, chaired by Dr. Hassan Kamal, held its 15th meeting for the third legislative term on Monday. During the meeting, the committee approved the following:
- Renewal of the decision to allocate land for the Family Court building in the Capital Governorate -- Granada, Block Three -- measuring 5,000 square meters;
- Allocate 4,150 square meters for parking space and amendment of boundaries to ensure it does not conflict with the Jahra Road right-of-way
- Request of the Interior Ministry to allocate a portion of the ministry's site in Block 1G measuring 3,000 square meters for the main transformer station of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy;
- Amendment of the decision of the Municipal Council to accept a donation from a real estate company for the construction of a multi-storey parking building and to beautify the adjacent public squares in Sharq, Block Seven.
Meanwhile, the committee retained on its agenda the proposal of member Abdullatif Al-Da'i to temporarily allocate a walkway in Kaifan, Block Seven until the Ministry of Public Works invites the Maintenance Engineering Sector, Ministry of Interior, Organization and Infrastructure Department at the Municipality and the Capital Governorate Municipality branch to a meeting in order to take a decision in this regard.
