KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Businessman Abdulaziz Al-Ghannam hosted a luncheon in honor of the guests of the 17th International Conference, organized recently by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) with the theme, “Genetic Imprinting and Gene Editing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: An Islamic Perspective.” Kuwait hosted the conference under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah.

A luncheon was held at Al-Ghannam’s diwaniya in Abdullah Al-Salem District, with several prominent scientific and religious figures in attendance, as well as members of the conference delegations representing an elite group of experts and specialists in the fields of Biomedicine, Islamic Jurisprudence and Medical Ethics from various Islamic countries. Speaking at the event, IOMS President Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarallah affirmed that the conference is an important scientific platform for discussing the latest developments in the fields of genetic engineering and artificial intelligence in line with the Islamic values and principles.
