KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The Misdemeanor Court acquitted a bus driver who was accused of molesting a female student. According to the case file, the Public Prosecution accused the bus driver of making the girl sit close to him and touching her inappropriately for 15 days when he dropped her home from school. The prosecution officer affirmed that investigations were conducted and the incident was confirmed. However, the defense counsel Lawyer Mohammad Abbas insisted on the lack of sufficient evidence to prove the allegation against his client. He said it was illogical to say that such an act continued for 15 days before it was reported.

‘Pay allowance’: The Administrative Court has obligated Ministry of Education to pay a teacher KD 3,000 as allowance for the twice change in her grade level. L a w y e r Zaid Al- Khabaz explained that the ministry had increased the grade of his client from D to C, and then from C to B. However, it did not pay her the deserving allowance based on her grade level. He urged the court to appoint an expert from Ministry of Justice to check the service file and salary records of his client and determine whether she deserves grade B, C or D and to identify the allowance she deserves to receive for her grade change. He also called for calculation of the deserving allowance based on decision of Civil Service Commission issued on April 1, 2011. Lawyer Al-Khabaz asked the court to order Ministry of Education to pay the difference between the allowance she is already receiving and the deserving allowance
