Kuwait City, Dec 2: Burjeel Holdings, one of the largest healthcare services providers in the MENA region, successfully concluded its participation at the Kuwait Medica Conference and Exhibition, a prominent medical tourism event in the country. Taking place from November 29 to 30, the conference served for leading healthcare providers, plastic surgery facilities, medical equipment suppliers, health technology specialists and various stakeholders. The central theme of the event revolved around enhancing the patient referral process beyond Kuwait's borders.
Showcasing its flagship facility, Burjeel Medical City, the Group took part in the event under the theme ‘Pioneer In Healthcare’. The Group’s pavilion attracted a diverse audience from different segments of society and provided attendees with an opportunity to delve into the comprehensive range of healthcare services offered. These services encompass advanced orthopedic care, gynecology, foetal medicine, radiation oncology, physical therapy, rehabilitation and robotic surgery. It served as an ideal platform for the Group to highlight its modern facilities and state-of-the-art medical technologies.

The Group held productive discussions with various stakeholders, including representatives from key entities such as the Ministry of Defence, Fire Department, and Ministry of Health as primary sources of patient referrals. Physicians from Burjeel actively leveraged the exhibition as an opportunity to interact with patients, while many of them sought second opinions and immediate appointments, with the team actively working to facilitate their needs.
Furthermore, Her Excellency Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Al-Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research, inaugurated the proceedings of this event. The occasion drew the presence of a distinguished assembly, including medical professionals, administrators, academics and ambassadors from Spain, Thailand, and Turkey.
Dr. Michael Uglow, Director of Paley Middle East Clinic and Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at Burjeel Medical City, shed light on orthopedic rehabilitation services at the hospital. Additionally, Mr. Rashed Al-Alawi from the Patient Experience Department of Burjeel Medical City delved into the extensive healthcare solutions available at the facility.
At the end of the Kuwait Health Conference and Exhibition, Dr. Maha Feda, Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Burjeel Medical City, expressed her gratitude and presented a commemorative gift on behalf of Burjeel Holdings to Her Excellency Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, who was present at the event.
