LOS ANGELES, Oct 15, (Agencies): Pop sensation Britney Spears is on the cusp of unveiling her first memoir, "The Woman In Me," this month. Anticipation surrounds the book's launch, with indications that it could illuminate her past controversies, particularly her prior relationship with Justin Timberlake.

According to an unnamed source who recently spoke with Us Weekly, Timberlake might not welcome the way Spears addresses their former romance. The memoir is expected to candidly delve into their relationship, potentially leaving Timberlake, who's now 42, feeling uneasy. Spears, renowned for her iconic hit "Toxic," is scheduled to release her book through Simon and Schuster on October 24th.

Another insider, as reported, mentioned that the "…Baby One More Time" songstress feels both "excitement and nervousness" about the book's official launch. Within her memoir, Spears is anticipated to provide insights into her complex relationships with her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, and reveal details about her personal life and romantic history.

A third source emphasized that Spears has no intention of vilifying anyone and is simply focused on conveying her perspective and sharing the facts.

Spears and Timberlake began their romance in 1999, initially crossing paths while working on the Mickey Mouse Club. However, their relationship concluded in 2002, and Timberlake's hit song "Cry Me a River" fueled rumors that their breakup wasn't amicable, accompanied by allegations of Spears' infidelity.

The dramatic events surrounding the former couple resurfaced in 2021 with the release of the documentary "Framing Britney Spears," prompting allegations that Timberlake played a role in spreading negative stories about Spears post-split. This led to widespread criticism, eventually culminating in Timberlake's public apology. He expressed remorse for letting Spears down over time and apologized for the notorious wardrobe malfunction during his and Janet Jackson's 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance.

The Us Weekly source clarified that Spears doesn't bear a grudge against Timberlake and sees their past actions as those of young people deeply in love who made mistakes. In April 2022, Spears reflected on the therapeutic and healing process of composing her memoir, expressing admiration for Timberlake's approach in apologizing for past misdeeds.

The insider also indicated that Spears' memoir will make references to both her estranged husband, Sam Asghari, and Justin Timberlake. However, the mentions of Asghari might be presented with a more gentle tone, considering the sensitive nature of their ongoing divorce proceedings.
