KUWAIT CITY, June 20: The investigator at Al-Mutlaa Police Station has issued directives to the Criminal Investigation Department to apprehend an unidentified individual involved in the theft of diesel from a storage tank belonging to the Ministry of Interior. The investigator also instructed forensic evidence teams to visit the crime scene and collect any trace evidence that could assist in the investigation.
According to a security source, a citizen employed as a communications supervisor in the Technical Services Department of the Ministry of Interior reported the theft. The report stated that the contents of a diesel tank, located north of Jahra on Al-Liyah Road and owned by the Ministry, had been stolen by an unknown party.
In a separate incident, another citizen—born in 1995—filed a complaint at Al-Qashaniyya Police Station. Acting as an authorized representative of an engineering company, he reported the theft of 94 oil pipes from the company’s headquarters. The perpetrator remains unidentified, and the report did not include the estimated value of the stolen materials. Authorities have registered this incident as a misdemeanor theft case and launched an investigation.
