KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Bangladesh Military Contingents (BMC) to Kuwait observed Bangladesh Armed Forces Day with due solemnity on 21st November 2023. The programme was arranged on a limited scale without festivity showing solidarity to the afflicted people of Palestine. Major General Eid Rashed Al Owaihan Al Enezi, Director General, General Department of Criminal Evidence, Ministry of Interior, Kuwait, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Bangladesh Military Contingents’

The chief guest acknowledged the contribution and sacrifices of Bangladeshi troops since 1991 and optimized that the relationship between the two armed forces will reach an optimal level in the future days. Brigadier General LafiMelfiAl Mutairi, Director, Non-Commissioned Officers Affairs Branch of Kuwait Armed Forces also delivered his speech as a special guest and conveyed his regards to all Bangladeshi troops deployed in Kuwait. Besides, senior officers of the Kuwait Armed Forces, Defence Attaches of different countries, Bangladesh Embassy officials, and representatives of the Bangladesh community in Kuwait were among the spectators of this event. At the outset, Commander BMC, Brigadier General Md Tajul Islam Thakur, BSP, SGP, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil delivered his welcome speech highlighting the importance of the day and emphasizing the glorious history of friendship between two armed forces of Bangladesh and Kuwait.

A short video clip on Bangladesh Armed Forces and Bangladesh Military Contingents in Kuwait was also showcased. The exhibition of the photo gallery was another great attraction for the guests and acted as a remembrance for many. The history of Bangladesh armed forces since 1971 and the gradual development of BMC since its inception in 1991, was the main focus of these projections. BMC Magazine-2023 was unveiled during the program.
