KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: The Ministry of Education has begun implementing the fingerprint attendance system for employees in the Religious Education Department. The Ministry requested the department to provide lists of assigned workers to be sent to the Information Systems Center in preparation for enrolling them in the fingerprint system. This confirms the report published by Al-Seyassah, on October 10, under the title ‘Education tightens its grip on evening shifts using fingerprints.’ The Undersecretary of the Financial Sector at the Ministry, Matrouk Al-Mutairi, indicated in a letter obtained that bonuses for workers in adult education and training centers, as well as those in the Religious Education Department, will not be paid unless their attendance is registered through the fingerprint system.
This is per instructions from the financial sector. Al-Mutairi explained that this procedure responds to comments from the Financial Controllers regarding the importance of recording attendance and departure via fingerprints as proof of work commencement. The Information Systems Center will add the fingerprint data of assigned workers based on the submitted lists to ensure that bonuses are paid fairly and systematically. This decision is part of an effort to regulate the attendance and departure of religious education employees, prevent administrative or financial issues, and ensure proper management across various educational centers.
