Bid to smuggle cigarettes foiled

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: Customs officers at the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post recently foiled the attempt of a Saudi man to smuggle 150 cartons of cigarettes neatly hidden near the engine of his SUV, reports Annahar daily. During interrogation the man said he had specially entered Kuwait to smuggle cigarettes and sell them in Saudi Arabia for a profit. The suspect and the contraband have been referred to the concerned authority.
