MANAMA, July 24: Kuwait bowed out of the inaugural West Asia Volleyball Championship after a straight-sets defeat to host Bahrain (0-3) in the quarterfinals, held at the Isa bin Rashid Hall in Manama. The tournament continues until July 27.

In other quarterfinal matchups, Saudi Arabia swept Jordan, Oman beat the UAE, and Qatar cruised past Lebanon — all by identical 3-0 scores.

Meanwhile, the semifinals will see Bahrain face Saudi Arabia and Qatar take on Oman.

In the group stage, Kuwait placed fourth in Group B with 3 points, narrowly missing third place to Oman due to the set difference. Qatar topped the group with 8 points, followed by Saudi Arabia with 4.

Despite their efforts, Kuwait was unable to match Bahrain’s performance. The hosts dominated the match and claimed the sets 25-15, 25-22, and 25-20, sealing a convincing and well-earned victory.
