Bahrain crowned as champions after defeating Saudi in 38th Gulf Handball Club Cup

KUWAIT, June 12: The Bahraini Al-Najma Club was crowned on Sunday the champion of the 38th Gulf Handball Cup Clubs Championship hosted by Kuwait, after defeating its Saudi counterpart, Mudar Club, (39-24). Al-Najma dominated the match, which they held at the (Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah) Complex for the Indoor Halls, and imposed its style to end the first half with a difference of 6 goals, taking advantage of some of the opponent’s mistakes.

The half ended with a score of (18-12). Seven clubs participated in the tournament, which started on the fourth of this June. They are Saudi Mudar, Bahraini Najma, Kuwait (host), Salmiya, Al-Jazira, Al-Ahly, Qatar, and Muscat, Oman. After the end of the tournament, the first three places were honored: the Bahraini star, then the Saudi Mudar second, and Kuwait Club the third. (KUNA)
