Bahrain activates 70% remote work in government sector amid regional tensions
Bahrain activates remote work for 70% of government employees amid regional tensions.

MANAMA, Bahrain, June 22: Bahrain's Civil Service Bureau (CSB) announced Sunday the activation of remote work for 70 percent of employees in ministries and government agencies, effective immediately and until further notice.

According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the decision comes in response to current regional developments and heightened security concerns, with the primary aim of safeguarding public health and safety.

The CSB clarified that the directive applies to all eligible government entities, while excluding sectors that require physical presence due to the nature of their duties or special operational procedures in emergency situations.

The move is part of the Kingdom’s proactive measures to ensure business continuity while minimizing potential risks to staff amid ongoing regional instability.
