KUWAIT CITY, June 4: A bag containing a diplomatic passport delayed Kuwait Airways Flight No. 673 to Dubai, which was scheduled to depart Kuwait at 3:00 pm, by almost two hours. Some passengers revealed that the passenger handed over the bag to an airhostess so that she can take the bag directly to the aircraft store.
However, this contravened the security instructions of the pilot and the crew on board. They quoted the man telling the airhostess that, “Take this bag and note that it contains a diplomatic passport.” When the passenger became adamant, the airhostess moved fast to inform the pilot about the incident.
The pilot in turn ordered for another inspection of all passengers due to security reason. They contacted the concerned airport officials for a recheck, which delayed the takeoff of the flight.
