KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: In an incident yesterday afternoon, the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area saw a shooting episode in front of a boys' secondary school. The Criminal Security Sector, comprising investigators from the Search and Investigation Department in Farwaniya Governorate, successfully apprehended the SUV driver responsible for the random firing. Authorities also seized the shotgun used in the incident.

The event, which occurred at the entrance of the secondary school, did not result in any injuries but induced panic and fear among the students. Prompt reports from parents and students to the Ministry of Interior's operations room detailed a person firing a shotgun in front of the school as students were leaving.

Upon receiving the reports, Security Directorate patrols, rescue police patrols, and detectives were dispatched to the scene. Although the shooter was not found, investigators discovered four empty casings from a hunting rifle at the location. An official police report was later submitted by a parent, revealing that the shooter, the parent's son's cousin, had a prior argument with another student at the school.

The parent provided authorities with a video capturing the random shooting. Detectives successfully identified the shooter, his companion, and the vehicle they were using. Subsequently, the accused individual and the firearm involved in the incident were apprehended. The swift action by the Criminal Security Sector ensures the safety and security of the school environment and its students.
