Liquor filled in plastic cans and bottles confiscated
KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Ahmadi securitymen raided a house in Khairan residential area where liquor was being manufactured, arrested an Asian expatriate, and confiscated 4,800 liquor bottles and several equipment used for manufacturing liquor.In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security explained that Ahmadi Security Directorate had received information about a liquor factory in the vicinity of Khairan residential area. Based on instructions from Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa Al-Mulla, Ahmadi securitymen were monitoring the area when they stopped a vehicle that an Asian expatriate was driving out of a house in the area.They checked the vehicle to find 480 bottles of locally manufactured liquor, 12 gas cylinders and two buckets used for manufacturing liquor. Securitymen raided the house and confiscated 400 packs with 12 bottles of liquor in each (total of 4,800 liquor bottles), 60 barrels, seven iron drums used for purification purpose, five coil stoves, 29 cartons, 50 gas cylinders, 30 bags of sugar and five cartons of yeast. The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Ahmadi Security Directorate affirmed that such campaigns will continue to be held to arrest violators of law and to protect the society.
