KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of an expatriate, who is a social media celebrity musician, in the Central Prison for 21 days for investigations over allegations of insulting traffic officers, which was caught in a video clip, due to a traffic citation issued to him.

Security operatives arrested the suspect after the video clip, in which he can be seen insulting the officers, went viral in the social media. He was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The artiste posted the video clip on his SnapChat account, making fun of the officers after his license was withdrawn.

His comment said he earns the monthly salary of a traffic officer in an hour, and that the cost of his wristwatch is more than salary of the officer who issued him the citation.
