Around 2,600 thefts reported in 2016 – Doctor’s car stolen

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Statistics released by the Ministry of Interior for 2016 shows that total number of reported thefts during the year were 2,600, and that 1,462 of them were felonies and 1,138 misdemeanors, equivalent to 7 crimes per day, reports Al- Qabas daily.

The statistics also show the theft of vehicles, shop breakins and houses is the most common type of crime. The statistics added the thefts have become widespread in recent times. Most common are car break-ins parked in front of Kuwait homes, residential areas and market markets and workplaces.

Car stolen: An Egyptian doctor working for the Jahra Hospital has filed a complaint with the Naeem Police Station accusing an unidentified person of stealing his car which was parked in the multi-storey car park, reports Al-Rai daily. The doctor said after his evening duty he went to the car park but did not find his vehicle.
