KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: Editor-in-Chief Ahmed Al-Jarallah continues to receive congratulations on the successful surgery he underwent in Paris last week from ministers, ruling family members, state officials, and dignitaries from Kuwait and abroad, refl ecting the loyalty, affection, and family spirit that distinguish the Kuwaiti people, reports Al- Seyassah daily. Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi sent a congratulatory cable to the Dean of Kuwaiti journalism and the Editor- in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah, stating, “We are pleased to extend to you our sincere prayers and heartfelt wishes for your safety. Praise be to God for the success of the surgery you underwent. We ask Almighty God to protect you from all harm, grant you good health and complete well-being, bless you with a full recovery, and return you soon to continue your distinguished media work and valuable intellectual contributions. We pray that God grants us all success in serving our beloved country under its wise leadership.”
Meanwhile, Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud extended his heartfelt congratulations to Brigadier General Al-Jarallah, saying in a telegram, “We received with great concern the news of your health condition. I ask Almighty God to bless you with good health, well-being, and a long life, and to fill your days with happiness, prosperity, and contentment.” Similarly, the Capital Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali conveyed his sincere congratulations on the success of the surgery undergone by Brigadier General Al-Jarallah. In his congratulatory telegram, he wrote, “I ask Almighty God to grant you continued health and wellness, and to bless you with continued success as you pursue your distinguished media career under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled. We wish you a full recovery and safe return to your homeland to continue your dedicated media contributions.”
Furthermore, the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Qabas newspaper Walid Al- Nisf extended his congratulations to Brigadier General Al-Jarallah in a telegram, saying, “I congratulate you on the success of the surgery you underwent in France. I ask Almighty God to grant you a full recovery and continued health, and to return you safely to your homeland to resume your distinguished media role.” In this regard, colleague Saud Al-Farhan also expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the success of the surgery performed on Al-Jarallah. He affirmed that Abu Mishal is a great journalist and one of the pillars of Gulf and Arab journalism.
Al-Farhan said, “Al-Jarallah has faced many challenges throughout his career. He has struggled, been imprisoned, and stood up to influential members of Parliament. I have known and worked alongside Al-Jarallah for more than 40 years. He has survived assassination attempts by the Abu Nidal Group and others claiming to be part of the struggle, including the Syrian ruler and some false Palestinian claimants of resistance, because he exposed their lies. Al-Jarallah has long been a friend to kings, presidents, and princes. “Today, as he receives treatment in Paris, I wish you, Abu Mishal, a speedy and complete recovery.”
Also, Fahd Al-Enezi extended his congratulations to the Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism Ahmed Al-Jarallah, saying, “Thank God for the safety of the dean of Kuwaiti journalism. We love him dearly and pray to God for his speedy recovery and safe return home under His divine protection.” Columnist Sultan Al-Dousari also offered his sincere prayers and heartfelt wishes to Brigadier General Al-Jarallah for the success of his surgery, asking Almighty God to protect him from all harm, bless him with good health and complete well-being, and grant him a speedy and full recovery.
In addition, Lawyer Nahes Al-Enezi extended his congratulations to Ahmed Al-Jarallah, emphasizing that he is a towering figure in journalism and a respected voice of opinion. He noted that Al-Jarallah is one of the pillars of Gulf and Arab journalism, as he is fearless in speaking the truth, unshaken by prisons of conscience, and steadfast in the face of even the fiercest storms. Al-Enezi praised Al-Jarallah’s credibility and his unwavering stance in support of justice, adding that he never closed the doors of his newspaper to any writer, regardless of differing views. He explained that Al-Seyassah newspaper has always served as a wide platform for Kuwaiti writers. Everyone knows Al-Jarallah as an honest and pure-hearted man, free of envy and hatred, and who believes that freedom of opinion and expression is the true pulse of a dignified life. He has sacrificed much of his life for the noble principles he upholds.
Today, Al-Jarallah stands at the pinnacle of achievement and honor, yet he has never abandoned his humility, sincerity, sharp intellect, or sense of humor. Al-Enezi expressed his pride in Al-Jarallah’s confidence in him as a lawyer, noting that Al-Jarallah is not only a distinguished journalist but also an exceptional administrative leader. He praised Al-Jarallah’s remarkable capabilities, highlighting his presence at gatherings of kings and presidents and his engagement in insightful and meaningful dialogue with them. Al-Enezi concluded by saying, “Today, Abu Mishal lies in a hospital in Paris, battling illness. Our hearts are with him, and we pray to Almighty God to grant him a quick recovery and a safe return home in the best of health and well-being.”
