KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Officers from the Residency Security General Department at the Interior Ministry arrested an Arab man for bringing beggars into the country. Acting on a tip-off that the suspect is getting visit visas for his compatriots to enter the country and beg, the officers put him under surveillance. This led to the arrest of the suspect, how was also found to have claimed that he can resolve absconding and deportation cases, as well as process certain applications in exchange for money.During investigation, the officers checked the suspect’s mobile phone where they found a recording of his negotiation with an unknown person whom he promised to complete applications. He also confessed to obtaining visas for compatriots who travel to GCC countries to beg. Hew was referred to the concerned security unit for legal action. The Public Relations and Security Media Department called on citizens and expatriate to avoid dealing with such people, indicating they should call emergency number 112 in case they encounter the same.By Meshal Al-Sanousi Al-Seyassah Staff and Agencies
