KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have lifted fingerprints from the house of a Syrian man who reported to the police the theft of a basket of coins, 4,000 dollars, 2 passports, a golden ring and thousands of dinars from the bedroom safe, reports Al-Anba daily.

A security source said the investigators came to the conclusion that the victim had forgotten to lock the door of his apartment and the thief took advantage of this loophole to commit the theft. The investigators said the thief headed straight to the room where the safe was and broke into it and stole the contents. The source added, the man’s relatives will be the prime suspects in the case because there is a strong possibility of one of them committing the crime because it appears the thief knew exactly what to do.
