ABU DHABI, March 5 : A squadron of UAE military aircraft accompanied His Highness the Amir’s plane across the UAE airspace. Upon arriving at the UAE capital’s airport, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was warmly received by UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The welcoming committee at the airport included UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairperson of the Presidency Diwan Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Advisor of Special Affairs at the Presidency Diwan Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al-Nahyan, the State of Kuwait Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Mohammad Al-Ghunaim, and the UAE Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Matar Hamed Al-Nayadi.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed bestows the Zayed Order upon His Highness the Amir, the highest honor, in acknowledgement of their ‘deep fraternal relations’ and HH the Amir’s tireless efforts in fortifying the bonds between them.

Accompanying His Highness the Amir were Sheikh Dr. Salem Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Nawaf Abdulaziz Humoud Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Faisal Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Salem Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, Chief of the Government Performance Follow-up Apparatus Sheikh Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and other ranking officials from the Amiri Diwan. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by a delegation of officials, arrived in the UAE capital on Tuesday and was accorded an elaborate welcome at Qasr Al- Watan, the UAE Presidential Palace. The reception included horse and camel riders, folkloric shows, and a dazzling formation of “Fursan Al-Emarat” aircraft depicting the Kuwaiti flag. A 21-gun salute and a military band welcomed His Highness the Amir’s motorcade at the stand of honor, where national anthems of both countries were played.

His Highness the Amir then engaged in discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at Qasr Al-Watan. During the summit talks, His Highness the Amir expressed his eagerness to enhance bilateral relations and promote cooperation within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He praised the warm welcome and hospitality extended by the UAE leadership and people, highlighting the strong historic ties and genuine fraternity between the nations. Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed welcomed His Highness the Amir and emphasized the significance of supporting common Gulf initiatives amid regional challenges. The leaders discussed economic, trade, investment, and development relations, emphasizing the importance of regional security and stability.

The visit culminated in a reciprocal exchange of Orders between His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan at Qasr Al-Watan. His Highness the Amir was honored with the Zayed Order, recognizing his efforts in strengthening fraternal relations. In return, His Highness the Amir presented Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Order for his contributions to the progress, stability, and prosperity of the UAE and the promotion of relations within the GCC. A lunch banquet was hosted by UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan in honor of His Highness the Amir and his delegation. Following the state visit, His Highness the Amir was seen off by UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Mohammad Al-Ghunaim, and the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Matar Hamed Al- Nayadi. Upon departure, His Highness the Amir expressed appreciation to UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan for the warm hospitality and the conferred Zayed Order. His Highness wished the UAE President and the people of the UAE health and prosperity.

The official delegation, including Sheikh Dr. Salem Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Nawaf Abdulaziz Humoud Al-Jarrah Al- Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Faisal Al-Saud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Salem Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the Government Performance Follow-up Apparatus Sheikh Ahmad Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and other ranking officials, accompanied His Highness the Amir on his return home. His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah’s state visit to the UAE reflects the strong ties between the two nations, said Emirati media. In remarks to KUNA, UAE media figures stressed that the Amir of Kuwait’s visit reflects the keenness of the two states leaderships on further propensity and cooperation. UAE News Agency (WAM) Director- General, Mohammad Al-Raisi, affirmed that the Kuwaiti-Emirati ties are deeply and historically rooted, adding that the bilateral relationship reflects the common history between the two nations.

In turn, the Head of the Media Department at UAE University, Dr. Ahmad Al- Mansouri, said that Kuwait Amir’s visit to the UAE is a great opportunity to boost the historical ties that bind the two countries. He also noted that the talks between the two leaders would push for more cooperation and coordination between both countries. Al-Mansouri said that the visit is a great opportunity to shed light on the ongoing political developments, especially the genocidal war launched by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians. The CEO of Marketing and Communication Abu Dhabi Media Network, Abdulraheem Al-Nuaimi, affirmed that the visit of His Highness the Amir to the UAE is an authentic, inherited part of a series of mutual visits between the two ruling families since ancient times.

He also noted that statistics and trade between the two countries shed light on the distinguished economic cooperation between Kuwait and the UAE, adding that the non-petroleum trade between the two states in the last ten years reached 300 billion dirhams. For his part, the CEO of Al-Eitihad News Center, Hamad Al-Kaabi, said the visit is conclusive evidence of the strength and stability of Kuwaiti-Emirati relations, which in turn reflected in the diplomatic positions in terms of the political approach in various circles. Both countries are keen on supporting peace and stability in the region and worldwide, he added. The state visit of Kuwait Amir His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the United Arab Emirates, is marked by themes of deeply rooted ties, fraternal relations, strategic partnership and a mutual destiny.
