‘All Iranians, no Kuwaitis among fishermen seized’

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: The 11 fishermen caught by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard are all Asians and none of them are Kuwaitis, reports Al-Rai daily quoting diplomatic sources.

The daily added, the men with their boats were arrested after they allegedly strayed into Iranian territorial waters, specifically Bandar-e Mahshahr of Khuzestan province.

The Kuwaiti diplomatic sources told Al-Rai the concerned authorities are following the case, saying “none of them are Kuwaitis”. In the meantime, the sources stressed “the procedures in such cases take their natural course leading to the release of fishermen and their boats.”
