KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: Al-Sulaibikhat claimed sole possession of the top spot in the First Division after a 2-0 victory over Sporty at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, in the fourth round of the competition.

The win takes Al-Sulaibikhat’s points total to 12, maintaining a perfect record, while newly promoted Sporty suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.

Al-Sulaibikhat also benefited from former co-leaders Al-Yarmouk dropping points, as they were defeated 1-2 by Burgan, leaving Al-Yarmouk with 9 points and Burgan climbing to 5 points.

In another match, Al-Sahel moved up to third place after a 3-1 win over Al-Shamiya, bringing their total to 8 points, while Al-Shamiya recorded their fourth straight loss.

Additionally, the fourth-round match between Khaitan (1 point) and Al-Jazira (7 points) has been postponed by one day due to lighting issues at Nasser Al-Othaimi Stadium.
