KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: Al-Salmiya Club returned after completing its external training camp in Doha, Qatar, as part of preparations for the new season.
During the camp, the “Sky Blue” played several friendly matches. The club recently renewed the contract of national coach Yaqoub Al-Mousawi for another season and strengthened the squad with three foreign signings: Tunisian duo Khaled Al-Haj and Mohamed Soussi, and Austrian Janko Provic. Local reinforcements included goalkeepers Hamad Dashti and Abdullah Al-Fadhli, pivot player Mohamed Al-Atiou, and Hussein Al-Salman.
Coach Al-Mousawi praised the camp, highlighting the positive atmosphere and the focus on team cohesion and player integration.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait Club returned from its Bosnian training camp, alongside Al-Arabi’s squad, who also concluded their preparations in Bosnia. Al-Arabi is gearing up to host the 40th Arab Club Handball Championship for League and Cup winners from September 12 to 22. Participating teams include Kuwait Club, Kazma, Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Ahli (Egypt), Al-Hashd Al-Riyadi (Iraq), Al-Tali’a, Al-Nawaeer, Al-Shabab (Syria), and Al-Ahli and Al-Qatar SC (Qatar). Al-Arabi also prepares for the Premier League season.
