Al-Salmiya and Qadsia face off in the Premier Handball League sixth round

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The sixth round of the Premier Handball League continues today at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex in Sabah Al-Salem with two key matches. At 5:00 p.m., Al-Salmiya, sitting third with 5 points, takes on Qadsia, fifth with 4 points. This is followed at 6:30 p.m. by Sulaibikhat, seventh with 3 points, facing Al-Nasr, who remains at the bottom of the table without points.

Tomorrow, the action resumes with league leader Kuwait Club, with 10 points, facing Al-Arabi, sixth with 4 points, while Kazma, fourth with 5 points, meets second-placed Burgan, who have 8 points.

In today’s opening match, Al-Salmiya aims to overcome Qadsia and solidify its hold on third place, building on back-to-back victories over Al-Nasr. Qadsia, also winner of its last two matches against Al-Nasr and Al-Arabi, hopes to continue its momentum and temporarily share third place if it secures a win.

The second game sees a battle at the bottom of the standings, with Sulaibikhat expected to have the advantage over Al-Nasr.

Meanwhile, in the First Division League, Khaitan defeated Al-Fahaheel 34-32, and Yarmouk overcame Al-Qurain 35-31. Khaitan leads the table with 6 points, followed by Yarmouk with 4, Al-Qurain with 2, and 1 point each for the Youth Team and Al-Fahaheel. Al-Sahel remains at the bottom without a point.

Next round matches are set for Thursday, with Al-Sahel facing Yarmouk, Al-Qurain against Al-Fahaheel, and the Kuwait Youth Team taking on Khaitan.
