KUWAIT CITY, July 13, (KUNA): Kuwaiti swimmer Rashid Al-Tarmoum, representing Al-Qadsiya Club and the national team, claimed the silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke at the Swiss World Open Championship.

Al-Tarmoum not only secured a podium finish but also set a new national record for Kuwait, surpassing the previous benchmark in the event.

General Manager, Faisal Abu Al-Hassan, praised Al-Tarmoum's exceptional performance, noting that it marks a significant achievement for Kuwaiti swimming on the international stage.

The Swiss World Open Championship, taking place from July 10 to 13, brings together elite swimmers from around the world to compete across multiple categories.
