Al-Qadsiya players celebrate their win over Al-Tadamon.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: Al-Qadsiya's Montenegrin coach, Zeljko Petrovic, acknowledged that the players are experiencing significant pressure, a fact that was notably evident in the way Libyan forward Mohammed Soula celebrated his second goal against Al-Tadamon during their recent match at Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium. This match, part of the sixth round of the Zain Premier League, ended with Al-Qadsiya claiming a 3-1 victory. With this win, Al-Qadsiya secured its second victory of the league season, bringing both teams to a total of 7 points.

Petrovic emphasized that this victory "came at an important time," providing the team an opportunity to regroup during the break starting today, which he sees as crucial for addressing the team's issues. He characterized the win over Al-Tadamon as "not easy," especially given the challenges Al-Qadsiya faced in recent matches. Petrovic also called for increased public support in the upcoming period, noting that the league competition is still in its early stages. Additionally, he praised the contributions of Al-Qadsiya captain Bader Al-Mutawa, 39, highlighting his importance to the team.

In contrast, Al-Tadamon coach Jamal Al-Qabandi attributed his team's 3-1 loss to a lack of experience in critical moments of the match. Al-Tadamon conceded two goals in stoppage time when the game was poised to end in a draw. With this defeat, Al-Tadamon remains on 7 points in the Premier League, tied with Al-Qadsiya.

Al-Qabandi noted the significant impact of striker Casimir Ninja's absence due to suspension, asserting that his presence could have changed the dynamics of the match. He stressed the need for the team to move past this loss and prepare more effectively under its new Portuguese coach, Felipe Moreira.

Meanwhile, Al-Fahaheel's Syrian coach, Firas Al-Khatib, expressed his delight over the team's impressive 4-0 victory against Kazma, which took place at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium during the sixth round of the league. This win elevated Al-Fahaheel's total to 10 points, placing them in fourth position. Al-Khatib underscored the importance of this victory as a culmination of the player's hard work and expressed hope that such performance levels would continue in the upcoming rounds of the competition.
