KUWAIT CITY, July 6:  The General Assembly of Al-Qadsiya Club approved the club’s administrative and financial reports during a meeting at the club headquarters, chaired by Vice Chairman Sheikh Fahad Talal.

“Al-Qadsiya is not just a supplement to the federations. We work for Al-Qadsiya out of love, despite the very poor sporting situation.”

He warmly welcomed former club head Fawaz Al-Hasawi, describing Al-Qadsiya as “his home and his place.” Sheikh Fahad also addressed a recent disciplinary issue, noting,

“No one dared to punish the president of the Kuwait Club. The Disciplinary Committee met and overturned the warning but did not punish the club president in a tournament that bears our most precious name.”

“Thanks and appreciation to my brothers, the members of the Board of Directors, headed by my brother Sheikh Khaled Al-Fahad, and my brother Fahad Talal, for your trust in me. God willing, He will write for us what is best for us and in the best interest of all.”

Al-Hasawi, who previously led the club and its football team before stepping away in 2012, expressed his hopes for the club’s success in the upcoming season. While not confirming a return, he affirmed his ongoing support:

“I will always stand behind Al-Qadsiya Club and support it and everything related to the club’s advancement and success, whether I am at the club or outside of it. I have not left until I return.”

“We wish Al-Qadsiya Club success, and we call on the club’s fans and supporters to back it so that Al-Qadsiya can return to its former glory and position.”
