KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Al-Qadisiya has chosen Egypt as the location for its preparatory camp for the new season. The team will depart tomorrow morning and play several friendly matches before returning on July 30.
Al-Qadisiya is gearing up for the new season, with their campaign kicking off against Kuwait on August 8 in the Zain Premier League. Originally, the team planned to hold their camp in Turkey, but logistical issues related to visas forced a change in location.
The "Yellow" team aims to prepare meticulously for the new season, striving to deliver an outstanding performance in local championships and the Gulf Club Championship, where they are participating after a long hiatus. Notably, Al-Qadisiya, last season's Amir Cup champion, hopes to reclaim the league title, which it last won in 2015.
The team has bolstered its squad with four foreign players: Libyan Mohammed Sula, Moroccans Mahdi Barahma and Ismail Khafi, and Nigerian Daniel Gibula. Al-Qadisiya coach Muhammad Al-Mashaan expressed his eagerness to have a successful season with the team. He praised the new signings, emphasizing that the additions, both professional and local, were carefully selected. Al-Mashaan mentioned that the team is still considering further professional signings to strengthen necessary positions.
Al-Mashaan highlighted his goal of achieving optimal readiness by the start of the season, particularly before its match against Kuwait Club.
