KUWAIT CITY, Jan 10: Al-Qadisiya has opened discussions with Salmiya coach Dr. Muhammad Al-Mashaan to succeed Muhammad Ibrahim as the head coach.
Muhammad Ibrahim, citing health conditions, has expressed regret for being unable to continue leading the "Yellow" team since the conclusion of last December.
Following his team's recent 2-1 victory over Al-Jahra in the fourteenth round of the Zain Premier League, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mashaan confirmed ongoing negotiations with Al-Qadisiya. He expressed a strong desire to be at the helm of the Yellow training pyramid.
With coaching experience at Al-Jahra, Al-Nasr, and Al-Salmiya, along with serving as an assistant to Portuguese coach Jorvan Vieira in "Gulf 22," Al-Mashaan aims to fulfill his dream of leading Al-Qadisiya's training. He plans to discuss this matter with Sheikh Turki Al-Yousef, the president of Salmiya Club.
Al-Mashaan has expressed his reluctance to continue with Al-Samawi following negotiations with Al-Qadisiya, citing "technical and non-technical" issues faced by his current team.As negotiations between Al-Qadisiya and Al-Mashaan near their conclusion, Al-Salmiya has initiated the search for an alternative coach.
The fate of foreign coaches in negotiations with Al-Qadisiya took a turn, with Pablo Franco apologizing. Additionally, the acceptance of three Croatian coaches – Dragan Talajic, Ante Micha, and Dalibor Starkevic – was not unanimous among some members of the club's board of directors. They have been placed on a "waiting" list until the situation with Dr. Muhammad Al-Mashaan becomes clearer.
