KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Al-Qadisiya maintained its lead in the preliminary round of the basketball league, securing a decisive victory against Al-Qurain with a score of 92-59. Simultaneously, Al-Arabi triumphedover Yarmouk with a score of 106-89.Al-Qadisiya's impressive win elevates its score to 21 points, securing the top position, while Al-Akhdar advances to fifth place with 15 points. Al-Qurain climbs to sixth place with 14 points, and Yarmouk now holds eighth place with 12 points.

In a dominating performance against Al-Qurain, Al-Qadisiya secured a substantial lead in the first quarter (22-9), extending it to 47-22 by halftime and 75-39 by the end of the third quarter. The final score stands at an easy 92-59.Similarly, Al-Akhdar showcased control from the outset, leading the first quarter against Yarmouk 23-17, expanding the lead to 56-36 by halftime, 83-54 by the end of the third quarter, and ultimately concluding the match with a score of 106-89.

In today's matchups, Kuwait aims to extend its winning streak against Al-Nasr at 5:00 pm in the Al-Ittihad Hall at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Hall Complex. Additionally, Al-Sulaibikhat faces Al-Tadamon at 07:15 in the same hall.The league features two sections, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals after the second section concludes.
