KUWAIT CITY, April 13: Al-Qadisiya and Kuwait Club have recommenced their training sessions following the conclusion of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, gearing up for the remaining competitions of the ongoing 2023-2024 season.
The two teams are slated to face off on April 27 in the fourth round of the Zain Premier League championship group. "Al-Abyad" currently holds the top spot in the standings with 50 points, while Al-Qadisiya sits third with 46 points.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Club is anticipating responses from clubs as it plans to engage in two friendly matches during the league's suspension period. This initiative, led by Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, aims to provide opportunities for players who were previously unable to participate in matches, assessing their readiness before league action resumes in pursuit of maintaining the title.
Conversely, Al-Qadisiya is scheduled to play a friendly match against Khaitan next Wednesday, with another match lined up for the following Sunday, pending confirmation from Al-Jahra.
Coach Mohammed Al-Mashaan of Al-Qadisiya is keen on utilizing this break effectively to ensure his players are well-prepared, as they strive to contend for a title that has eluded the club for several years.
