KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Al-Qadisiya and Al-Salmiya have intensified their preparations ahead of tomorrow’s final match of His Highness the Amir’s Cup. Both teams have organized training camps to ensure their players are highly focused and ready to compete for the championship.

At Al-Qadisiya, the administration has imposed strict secrecy on the training sessions, prohibiting media access and interviews with the technical and administrative staff and players. This measure aims to enhance concentration and keep the starting formation and game plan of Coach Muhammad Al-Mishaan confidential.

Meanwhile, tests conducted on Al-Qadisiya star Badr Al-Mutawa revealed a leg bruise. Although his chances of participating in the final are promising, the final decision rests with the technical staff. Al-Mutawa exited last Thursday’s derby match against Al-Arabi, which ended in a 1-1 draw in the Zain Premier League. The medical team opted for physical therapy and excluded him from training the day before yesterday to prevent aggravating the injury.

On the other hand, Al-Salmiya’s lineup appears complete, with no key players missing. Croatian coach Ante Misha expressed confidence in his team’s readiness during training the day before yesterday. He stated, “We have trained for this type of match and are very prepared.”

Addressing Al-Mutawa’s impact on Al-Qadisiya, Misha acknowledged, “Badr is the most famous player in the league championship and the best. He is a very influential player for Al-Qadisiya.” He added, “Our focus has been on preparing for the match against Al-Qadisiya. I have confidence in my team, and we will do everything to win the title.”

Regarding the influence of Al-Qadisiya fans, Misha noted, “In this type of match, the most important factor is the stadium, not the fans.”

A press conference for the Amir Cup final will be held at 12:30 pm at the Football Association’s headquarters in Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with a coach and a player from each team in attendance. The press conference will be preceded by a technical meeting at noon, also at the Federation’s headquarters, with representatives from both teams present.
