KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah, on Sunday, met with Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kuwait Liu Xiang, who came to his office for a courtesy visit. The meeting included a constructive discussion on bilateral relations and media cooperation between the two sides, an open dialogue on the role of the media in building bridges of understanding between peoples, and the importance of responsible journalistic coverage in strengthening Kuwaiti- Chinese relations, especially in light of the growing rapprochement and cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields. Xiang praised the role played by Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers in highlighting the activities of the embassy.

He also affirmed the importance of the media in presenting a realistic and balanced image of bilateral relations and supporting cultural dialogue between the two countries. Meanwhile, Al-Jarallah warmly welcomed the Chinese guest, while emphasizing the Kuwaiti press’ commitment to strengthening cooperation with diplomatic missions, and supporting every initiative that contributes to deepening regional and international understanding and rapprochement. He praised the effective role of the Chinese Embassy in this context. Also present at the meeting were Managing Editor of Al- Seyassah Faisal Al-Matni and Managing Editor of Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao. They exchanged views on the importance of media and diplomatic integration in effectively conveying cultural and political messages to diverse societies.
