KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: The Board of Directors of Al-Jahra Club has informed its General Assembly members that it is currently evaluating the possibility of withdrawing from the Zain Premier League as well as all other competitions under sports federations. This move follows the Public Authority for Sports’ decision to suspend the Board’s administrative and financial accreditation.
The club expressed its view that there is no clear justification for the suspension, especially considering that financial support has been withheld for over six months. Despite this, the Board has continued to regularly pay the salaries of all club members and succeeded in reducing the club’s debt by 50% through non-governmental revenue streams, demonstrating its commitment to fulfilling its administrative and financial responsibilities.
In the interest of transparency and accountability, the Board announced the situation via its official social media channels to keep General Assembly members informed of recent developments. A final decision regarding the withdrawal will be made at the upcoming Board of Directors meeting.
The Board appeals to all club members and supporters to understand the circumstances and reassures its ongoing dedication to safeguarding the interests and stability of Al-Jahra Club during these challenging times.
