RIYADH, May 8: Al-Ittihad took a significant step in its quest to reclaim the Saudi Professional League (Roshen League) title, mounting a dramatic comeback to defeat hosts Al-Nassr 3-2 in a thrilling clash that concluded the 30th round.

After trailing 2-0 in the first half, Al-Ittihad rallied in the second half to overturn the deficit and secure a last-minute victory. The win lifted Al-Ittihad to 71 points at the top of the table, extending their lead to six points over defending champions Al-Hilal. Al-Nassr, meanwhile, remains in third place with 60 points.

Al-Hilal responded to recent continental disappointment with a goal-packed 5-3 win over Al-Raed, keeping its title hopes alive. The victory brought Al-Hilal’s tally to 65 points, holding firm in second place. Al-Raed, however, remains at the bottom of the standings with just 21 points.

Fresh off their AFC Champions League triumph, Al-Ahli Jeddah continued its strong league form with a 2-0 win over Al-Taawoun. The victory pushed Al-Ahli up to fourth place with 61 points, while Al-Taawoun stayed in eighth with 41 points.
