Kuwait City, June 10: Reiterating its commitment to promoting health and wellness within the community, Al Hamra Real Estate Co. successfully hosted the eighth edition of the annual Peak Race at its iconic Al Hamra Business Tower, drawing hundreds of sporting enthusiasts.
The exhilarating event, featuring a highly demanding vertical race to the 78th floor of the business tower, tests the physical strength, resilience, and endurance of participants. Al Hamra Business Tower, the tallest building in Kuwait, comprises 80 floors. Unlike previous editions, this year's race introduced the ultimate challenge of racing to the 78th floor of the skyscraper, making it one of the most exciting and inspiring athletic events in Kuwait.
Organized in partnership with Up Sports Management, a trailblazer in organizing Kuwait's inaugural local vertical race, this year's event expanded to feature four competitive races across two challenges: 55 Floors and the 78 Floors. Each challenge had separate categories for men and women, with winners receiving cash prizes. In the 55 Floors race, the first, second, and third place winners in both the Men's and Women's categories were awarded KD 250, KD 200, and KD 150, respectively. For the more daunting 78 Floors race, the prize values were higher, with KD 350 for first place, KD 250 for second, and KD 150 for third in both categories.
The fierce competition saw Noura Adel emerging victorious in the Women’s 78 Floors category, followed by Haya Al Tuwajir and Zahra Mohamed. Similarly, in the Men’s 78 Floors category, Ahmed Bakry clinched the top spot with Abdulhameed Ahmed and Yousef Mahmoud coming in second and third, respectively.
Furthermore, in the Women's 55 Floors category, Farah Adnan claimed first place, while Marwa Matar and Sara Al Wohaib finished second and third, respectively. In the Men's 55 Floors category, Ahmed Jaafar became the champions, with Mansour Al Subaiei and Rashed Al Mutairi putting up a spirited challenge but settling for second and third positions, respectively.
Commenting on the occasion, Mrs. Abrar Abdulaziz Al Habeeb, Acting General Manager of Al Hamra Real Estate Co., said: "The success of this year's Peak Race not only underscores our commitment to health and wellness but also aligns with our strategic vision to foster a vibrant community spirit.
